Residents of Ibadan, capital of Oyo State have begun to count their losses as a result of a heavy down pour that rocked the city Friday night. Many houses and fences collapsed and many cars were swept away. At Odo Ona, a new born baby that was to be named Saturday was declared missing. Some roads such as Awolowo and Parliament were buried in flood......... 

Over 400 homes in coastal local government areas of Sagbama, Kolokuma/Opokuma and Southern Ijaw in Bayelsa State have been submerged by flood.  Toru-Orua, home town of Governor Seriake Dickson in the Sagbama Local Government area, was not spared either by the flooding.  Other notable communities sacked by the floodwaters include Odi, Sampou in Kolokuma/Opokuma and Amassoma in Southern Ijaw area and Obuwari, Indimazi and Adagbabiri in Sagbama.  The flood, Daily Independent gathered, was caused by two days of rain, rendering community folks homeless.

The traditional ruler of Asamabiri community in Sagbama Local Government area described the flood as disturbing and appealed to the authorities to come to the aide of the community.

Niprisan.....

Nicosan, also known as Hemoxin, Niprisan, or Nix-0699, is a phytochemical which was studied in sickle-cell disease (SCD).[1] As of 2017 it does not appear to be commercially available, as the only manufacturer, which was is in Nigeria, has stopped making it due to financial problems.[2]
